1/1082ــ عَنْ جابرِ بنِ سمرةَ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: خَرَجَ علينا رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: «ألا تَصُفُّون كما تَصُفُّ الملائكةُ عنْدَ ربِّهَا؟» فقُلْنَا: يارسولَ الله، وكيْفَ تصُفُّ الملائكةُ عندَ رَبِّها؟ قَالَ: «يُتمُّونَ الصُّفُوفَ الأُوَلَ، وَيَتَرَاصُّون في الصَّفِّ». رواه مسلم.
1082/1 - Jābir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us one day and said: “Why do you not stand in rows as the angels do before their Lord?” We asked: “O Messenger of Allah, how do the angels stand in rows before their Lord?” He replied: “They complete the first rows and stand in a close and straight manner.” [Narrated by Muslim]
1/1082- Jābir bin Samurah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- keluar menemui kami lalu beliau bersabda, "Tidakkah kalian bersaf sebagaimana para malaikat bersaf di hadapan Rabb mereka?" Kami menjawab, "Wahai Rasulullah! Bagaimana para malaikat bersaf di hadapan Rabb mereka?" Beliau bersabda, "Mereka menyempurnakan saf-saf yang terdepan dan saling merapatkan diri dalam saf." (HR. Muslim)
1) من هدي النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الحرص علىٰ تكميل الصفوف والتراصّ فيها، فحث أصحابه والأمة علىٰ ذلك.
1) It is the Prophet’s guidance to complete and straighten the rows of worshipers. He urged his Companions and the whole Ummah to do that.
1) Di antara petunjuk Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- ialah sangat menjaga kesempurnaan saf dan kerapatannya, serta menganjurkan para sahabat dan umatnya untuk melakukannya.
2) الترغيب في اقتداء أهل الإيمان بملائكة الرحمن في الصفوف في الصلاة.
2) It encourages the believers to imitate the angels with regard to the rows of prayer.
2) Anjuran agar orang beriman meneladani para malaikat Allah ketika bersaf dalam salat.
2/1083ــ وعن أبي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه: أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا في النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إلَّا أَنْ يَستَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لاسْتَهَمُوا». متفقٌ عليه.
1083/2 - Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Were people to know the reward for announcing the Adhān and standing in the first row (in congregational prayer) and they had no choice but to draw lots to secure these privileges, they would draw lots.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
2/1083- Abu Hurairah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Sekiranya manusia mengetahui keutamaan azan dan saf pertama kemudian mereka tidak bisa mendapatkannya kecuali dengan berundi, pastilah mereka akan berundi." (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
يستهموا: يجعلوا قرعة أيُّهم يصفُّ في الصف الأول؟

يَستَهِمُوا (yastahimū): mereka membuat undian untuk menentukan siapa di antara mereka yang berhak menempati saf pertama.
1) مشروعية القرعة في القُرَب والطاعات، عندما يتزاحم المتنافسون فيها، مثل القرعة علىٰ الصف الأول.
1) It is legitimate to draw lots concerning acts of worship and piety when there are a lot of competitors over them, like, for example, drawing lots to decide who stands in the first row in congregational prayer.
1) Disyariatkannya undian dalam ibadah dan ketaatan ketika orang-orang yang bersegera padanya tidak kebagian semua, seperti undian untuk saf pertama.
2) الجهل هو سبب انصراف كثير من الخلق عَنْ المنافسة في الخيرات والصالحات.
2) Ignorance is the reason why many people do not care about vying over good and righteous acts.
2) Kejahilan adalah penyebab banyak orang berpaling dari berlomba-lomba dalam kebaikan dan amal saleh.
3/1084ــ عَنْ أبي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «خَيْرُ صفوفِ الرِّجالِ أوَّلُهَا، وشرُّها آخرُها، وخيُر صُفوفِ النِّساءِ آخرُها، وشرُّها أوَّلُها». رواه مسلم.
1084/3 - Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The best rows of men are the first and the worst of them are the last; and the best rows of women are the last, and the worst of them are the first.” [Narrated by Muslim]
3/1084- Abu Hurairah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Sebaik-baik saf laki-laki adalah yang paling depan dan sejelek-jeleknya adalah yang paling belakang. Dan sebaik-baik saf wanita adalah yang paling belakang dan sejelek-jeleknya adalah yang paling depan." (HR. Muslim)
1) الترغيب في أن تكون صفوف الرجال متقدمة علىٰ صفوف النساء، وكلما تقدمت صفوف الرجال فهو أفضل، وكلما تأخرت صفوف النساء فهو أفضل.
1) It encourages us to make the rows of men ahead of women’s rows. The first rows of men are the best and the last rows of women are the best.
1) Anjuran agar saf laki-laki jauh di depan saf perempuan, semakin saf laki-laki lebih ke depan maka ia lebih afdal, dan sebaliknya semakin saf perempuan ke belakang maka ia lebih afdal.
2) إذَا كُنَّ النساء في مكان خاص منفصل عَنِ الرجال، فإن خير صفوفهن أولها كالرجال، لأنه لا محذور حينها من قربها واختلاطها.
2) If women pray in a separate place from men, then the best rows for them are the first, as there is no closeness to men in this case or mingling with them.
2) Apabila perempuan berada di tempat khusus yang terpisah dari laki-laki, maka sebaik-baik saf mereka ialah yang paling depan, seperti laki-laki, karena pada saat itu tidak ada lagi kekhawatiran dari dekat dan campur baurnya saf wanita dengan saf laki-laki.
4/1085 ــ عَنْ أبي سعيد الخُدْريّ رضي الله عنه أنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رأىٰ في أصْحابه تأخُّراً، فقال لهم: «تقَدَّمُوا فَأْتَمُّوا بي. وَلْيَأْتَمَّ بكُمْ مَنْ بَعْدَكُم، لا يزالُ قومٌ يتأخَّرُون حَتَّىٰ يُؤخِّرَهُمُ اللهُ». رواه مسلم.
1085/4 - Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) perceived a tendency among his Companions to stand in the back rows; thereupon, he said to them: “Come forward and follow my lead, and let those behind you follow your lead. If people continue to lag behind, Allah will put them behind.” [Narrated by Muslim]
4/1085- Abu Sa‘īd Al-Khudriy -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- melihat sebagian sahabatnya mundur, maka beliau bersabda kepada mereka, "Majulah kalian dan ikutilah aku, kemudian hendaklah yang di belakang mengikuti kalian. Suatu kaum akan senantiasa mundur ke belakang hingga Allah membelakangkan mereka." (HR. Muslim)
1) الحث علىٰ الائتمام بالإمام والقرب منه في الصلاة.
1) It urges us to follow the Imām and be close to him in prayer.
1) Anjuran mengikuti imam dan dekat darinya ketika salat.
2) إن التأخّر عَنِ الأعمال الصالحة سبب للتأخر عَنْ الأجر والثواب، وعن رحمة الله تعالىٰ.
2) Lagging behind in the performance of good deeds is a reason for keeping one behind in terms of reward and receiving the mercy of Allah Almighty.
2) Menunda amal saleh menyebabkan keterlambatan pahala dan rahmat Allah -Ta'ālā-.
3) الترغيب في تعليم العالِم أصحابَه المسائل، وتوجيههم إن أخطؤوا.
3) A knowledgeable person should teach his companions and correct their mistakes, if any.
3) Anjuran agar orang yang berilmu mengajarkan rekan-rekannya berbagai persoalan ilmu serta membimbing mereka jika mereka berbuat salah.
5/1086 ــ عَنْ أبي مسعود رضي الله عنه قَالَ: كان رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يَمْسَحُ مناكبَنا في الصَّلاة، ويقولُ: «اسْتَوُوا ولا تختلِفُوا فَتَخْتلفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ، لِيَلِنِي منكُمْ أولُوا الأحلامِ والنُّهَىٰ، ثُمَّ الذين يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الذين يَلُونَهُمْ». رواه مسلم.
1086/5 - Abu Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) would place his hand upon our shoulders during prayer and say: “Stand in straight rows and do not differ among yourselves, or else your hearts will suffer discord. Let those be nearest to me who are mature and endowed with understanding, then those who are nearest to them in these respects and then those who are nearest to them.” [Narrated by Muslim]
5/1086- Abu Mas'ūd -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- selalu meluruskan pundak kami ketika salat dan bersabda, "Luruskanlah (saf) kalian dan jangan berselisih sehingga hati kalian ikut berselisih. Hendaknya yang berada di belakangku adalah orang yang dewasa dan berakal, lalu yang setelahnya, kemudian yang setelahnya." (HR. Muslim)
6/1087ــ عَنْ أنس رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «سَوُّوا صُفوفَكُمْ، فإنَّ تسويَةَ الصَّفِّ من تَمامِ الصَّلاةِ». متفقٌ عليه.
1087/6 - Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Straighten your rows, for indeed, straightening the rows is part of the perfection of prayer.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
6/1087- Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Luruskanlah saf kalian, karena meluruskan saf termasuk kesempurnaan salat." (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
وفي رواية البخاري: «فإنَّ تسويَةَ الصُّفُوف مِنْ إقَامَة الصَّلاة».
In the version narrated by Al-Bukhāri: “straightening the rows is part of the establishment of prayer.”
Dalam riwayat Bukhari yang lain disebutkan, "Karena meluruskan saf termasuk menegakkan salat."
ليلني: يكون ورائي مباشرة.
Nearest to me: directly behind me.
لِيَلِنِيْ (li-yalinī): hendaklah berada langsung di belakangku.
الأحلام والنُّهىٰ: العقول.

الأَحْلَام وَالنُّهىٰ (al-aḥlām wa an-nuhā): akal.
1) عناية النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم التامة بتسوية الصفوف في الصلاة بالقول والفعل.
1) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) paid great attention to straightening the rows during prayer, through his words and example.
1) Perhatian yang sempurna dari Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- terhadap kelurusan dan kerapatan saf dalam salat dengan ucapan dan perbuatan beliau.
2) النهي عَنِ الاختلاف في هيئة الوقوف في الصف، لأن ذلك سببٌ لاختلاف القلوب.
2) They forbid us from making our manner of standing in the rows different, lest our hearts become different as well.
2) Larangan berselisih (tidak lurus) dalam posisi berdiri dalam saf karena hal itu dapat menyebabkan perselisihan hati.
3) الحث علىٰ أن يقف وراء الإمام الكبار وأهل العقول.
3) It encourages that adults and wiser people stand behind the Imām.
3) Anjuran agar yang berdiri di belakang imam adalah orang-orang dewasa dan berakal.
4) تسوية الصفوف من حسن إقامة الصلاة، فالوصية النبوية لنا أن نقيم صفوفنا كما أُمرنا، لنفوز بتمام الأجر، وعظيم النفع، ومتابعة القدوة صلى الله عليه وسلم.
4) Straightening rows is part of the good performance of prayer. So, the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) instructed us to straighten our rows in prayer so that we would reap complete rewards and benefits, while following our Prophet’s example.
4) Meluruskan saf termasuk kebaikan penegakan salat, sehingga tujuan wasiat Nabi agar kita meluruskan saf sebagaimana yang diperintahkan adalah agar kita mendapatkan pahala sempurna, manfaat yang besar, serta agar meneladani sang Teladan -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-.
7/1088ــ وعَنْهُ قَالَ: أُقيمَتِ الصَّلاةُ، فأقبلَ علينا رَسُول اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بوجْهِهِ، فقال: «أقيمُوا صفوفَكُمْ وَتَرَاصُّوا، فإنِّي أرَاكُم مِن وراءِ ظَهْرِي». رواه البخاري بلَفْظهِ، ومُسلمٌ بمَعْنَاهُ.
1088/7 - He also reported: The Iqāmah for prayer was made and the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) stood facing us and said: “Make your rows straight and stand close together, for I can see you from behind my back.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri] Muslim narrated a Hadīth with the same meaning.
7/1088- Juga dari Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu-, dia berkata, Ikamah salat telah dikumandangkan lalu Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- menghadap kepada kami dengan wajahnya seraya bersabda, "Luruskanlah saf kalian dan saling merapatlah. Sesungguhnya aku melihat kalian dari belakang punggungku." (HR. Bukhari dengan redaksi ini dan Muslim dengan yang semakna)
وفي رواية للبخاري: «وكان أحدُنا يُلزِقُ منكبَهُ بمَنْكبِ صَاحبِهِ وقَدَمَهُ بقَدَمِهِ».
In another version narrated by Al-Bukhāri: “One of us would stick his shoulder to the shoulder of his companion and his foot to his companion’s foot.”
Dalam riwayat Bukhari yang lain disebutkan, "Masing-masing kami menempelkan pundaknya dengan pundak yang lain serta kakinya dengan kaki yang lain."
1) إن تسوية الصفوف بالمحاذاة، بحيث تستوي الصفوف، هو الهدي النبوي الصحيح.
1) Worshipers should straighten their rows in prayer by standing in alignment with one another. That is the Prophet’s guidance.
1) Meluruskan saf dengan berdiri sejajar sehingga saf menjadi lurus adalah petunjuk Nabi yang sahih.
2) من خصائص النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم في الصلاة أنه يرىٰ الناس من وراء ظهره، أما خارج الصلاة فهو كسائر البشر.
2) One of the Prophet’s characteristics in prayer is that he could see from behind his back. Outside prayer, however, he is like all other people.
2) Di antara keistimewaan Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- dalam salat adalah bahwa beliau dapat melihat manusia di belakang punggungnya. Adapun di luar salat, beliau sama dengan manusia lainnya.
8/1089ــ عَنْ النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: سمعْتُ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقولُ: «لَتُسوُّنَّ صفُوفَكُمْ، أو لَيُخَالِفنَّ اللهُ بينَ وَجَوهِكُمْ». متفق عليه.
1089/8 - Al-Nu‘mān ibn Bashīr (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Straighten your rows, or Allah will cause dissension amongst you.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
8/1089- An-Nu'mān bin Basyīr -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- berkata, Aku mendengar Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Hendaklah kalian meluruskan saf kalian, atau (jika tidak), Allah akan menjadikan kalian berselisih pada wajah-wajah kalian." (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
وفي روايةٍ لمسلِم: أَنَّ رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كانَ يُسَوِّي صُفُوفَنَا، حَتَّىٰ كَأَنَّمَا يُسَوّي بهَا القِدَاحَ، حَتَىٰ رَأَىٰ أنَّا قَدْ عَقَلْنَا عَنْهُ. ثُمَّ خَرَجَ يَوْماً، فَقَامَ حَتَّىٰ كَادَ يُكَبِّرُ، فَرَأَىٰ رَجُلاً بادِياً صَدْرُهُ مِنَ الصَّفِّ، فقالَ: «عِبَادَ الله، لَتُسَوُّنَّ صُفُوفَكُمْ، أَوْ لَيُخَالِفَنَّ اللهُ بَيْنَ وُجُوهِكُمْ».
In a version narrated by Muslim: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to straighten our rows as if he was straightening the shaft of an arrow with their help until he saw that we had learned it from him. One day he came out and stood and was about to say Takbīr (to begin the prayer) when he saw a man whose chest was bulging out from the row. He said: “O servants of Allah, you must straighten your rows or Allah will cause dissension amongst you.”
Dalam riwayat Muslim yang lain disebutkan, "Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- meluruskan saf kami sampai seakan beliau meluruskan anak panah, hingga beliau telah yakin bahwa kami telah memahami maksud beliau. Kemudian beliau keluar di suatu hari, lalu berdiri dan hampir bertakbir, ternyata beliau melihat seseorang dadanya maju, maka beliau bersabda, 'Wahai hamba-hamba Allah! Hendaklah kalian meluruskan saf kalian, atau (jika tidak), Allah akan menjadikan kalian berselisih pada wajah-wajah kalian.'"
القداح: جمع قدح، وهو السهم بعدما يُنحت ويُبرىٰ ويُقوّم.

القِدَاحَ (al-qidāḥ), bentuk jamak dari "قَدْحٌ" (qadḥ), yaitu anak panah setelah ditatah, diraut, dan diluruskan.
عقلنا عَنْهُ: فهمنا مراده.
--
عَقَلْنَا عَنْهُ ('aqalnā 'anhu): kami paham maksud beliau.
1) عدم تسوية الصفوف سبب لاختلاف القلوب والتنافر، وهذا دليل علىٰ أن اختلاف الظاهر يورِّث اختلاف الباطن.
1) Not straightening the rows in prayer is a cause of dissension and alienation. This indicates that outward differences lead to inward ones.
1) Tidak meluruskan saf merupakan sebab munculnya perselisihan dan permusuhan hati, dan ini adalah dalil bahwa perselisihan secara lahiriah akan mendatangkan perselisihan pada batin.
2) إن عناية الإمام بتسوية الصفوف هو هدي النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، إذ حث عليه بقوله وفعله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
2) According to the Prophet’s guidance, by words and practice, the Imām should be keen to straighten the rows.
2) Perhatian imam terhadap kelurusan dan kerapatan saf adalah petunjuk Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-, beliau selalu menganjurkannya dengan ucapan dan perbuatan beliau.
9/1090ــ وعَنِ البَرَاءِ بنِ عازِبٍ رضي الله عنهما قالَ: كانَ رسولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَخَلَّلُ الصَّفَّ مِنْ نَاحِيَةٍ إلىٰ ناحِيَةٍ، يَمسَح صُدُورَنَا وَمَنَاكِبِنَا، ويقولُ: «لاَ تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ» ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: «إنَّ اللهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصلُّونَ عَلىٰ الصُّفُوفِ الأُوَلِ». رواه أبو داود بإسنادٍ حسَن.
1090/9 - Al-Barā’ ibn Āzib (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to pass through the row from one side to the other, patting our chests and shoulders and saying: “Do not differ, lest your hearts differ.” He would also say: “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the first rows.” [Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, with a sound Isnād]
9/1090- Al-Barā` bin 'Āzib -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- berkata, "Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- biasa masuk ke tengah-tengah saf dari ujung ke ujung sambil meratakan dada dan pundak kami seraya bersabda, Janganlah kalian saling berselisih sehingga hati kalian ikut berselisih.' Beliau juga bersabda, 'Sesungguhnya Allah dan para malaikat-Nya berselawat kepada saf-saf yang terdepan.'" (HR. Abu Daud dengan sanad hasan)
يتخلل: يدخل خلاله.

يَتَخَلَّلُ (yatakhallalu): ia masuk di sela-selanya.
1) ترغيب النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بإقامة الصفوف والتراصِّ فيها، وتسويتها بالقول والفعل.
1) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged us, through his words and example, to stand in rows in congregation prayer and to straighten them.
1) Anjuran Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- untuk meluruskan saf serta merapatkannya dengan ucapan dan perbuatan beliau.
2) فضيلة الصفوف الأولىٰ، لأن الله تعالىٰ وملائكته يصلون عليها. فَلْيحرصِ العبد، الذي وفّقه الله تعالىٰ لشهود الجماعات، علىٰ التبكير للفوز بهذا الأجر الكبير.
2) It points out the merit of the first rows, as Allah Almighty and His angels send blessings upon them. So, when Allah guides and enables someone to attend congregation prayers, he should be keen to go early so as to win this great reward.
2) Keutamaan saf-saf terdepan karena Allah -Ta'ālā- dan malaikat-Nya berselawat kepada mereka. Oleh karena itu, seorang hamba yang diberikan petunjuk oleh Allah untuk salat berjamaah harus gigih dalam bersegera mendatanginya supaya mendapat pahala yang besar ini.
10/1091ــ وعَنِ ابنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما أنَّ رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قالَ: «أَقِيمُوا الصُّفُوفَ، وَحَاذُوا بَينَ المَنَاكِبِ، وَسُدُّوا الخَلَلَ، وَلِينُوا بِأَيْدِي إخْوَانِكُمْ، وَلا تَذَرُوا فُرُجَاتٍ لِلشيْطانِ، ومَنْ وَصَلَ صَفّاً وَصَلَهُ اللهُ، وَمَنْ قَطَعَ صَفّاً قَطَعَهُ اللهُ»، رواه أبو داود بإسنادٍ صحيحٍ.
1091/10 - Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Arrange the rows in order, stand shoulder to shoulder, close the gaps, be accommodating to your brothers, and do not leave gaps for Satan. Whoever joins up a row, Allah will join him (to His mercy), and whoever cuts off a row, Allah will cut him off (from His mercy).” [Narrated by Abu Dawūd, with an authentic Isnād]
10/1091- Ibnu Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Luruskanlah saf kalian, sejajarkanlah antara pundak, tutup semua celah, bersikap lembutlah pada tangan saudara kalian, dan jangan tinggalkan celah untuk setan. Siapa yang menyambung saf, Allah akan menyambungnya, dan siapa yang memutus saf, Allah akan memutusnya." (HR. Abu Daud dengan sanad sahih)
11/1092ــ عَنْ أنس رضي الله عنه أنّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «رُصُّوا صُفُوفَكُم، وقارِبُوا بَيْنَهَا، وَحاذُوا بالأعنَاقِ، فوالذي نفسي بيَدِهِ إنِّي لأرىٰ الشَّيْطانَ يدخُلُ من خَلَلِ الصَّفِّ، كأنَّها الحَذَفُ». حديث صحيح رواه أبو داود بإسنادٍ علىٰ شرط مسلم.
1092/11 - Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Arrange your rows, keep them close to one another, and stand with your necks aligned, for by the One in Whose Hand my soul is, I see the devils entering through the gaps in the row like Hadhaf (small lambs).” [Abu Dāwūd, with an Isnād as per the conditions set by Muslim]
11/1092- Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Rapatkanlah saf kalian, dekatkanlah jarak antara saf, dan sejajarkanlah antara leher. Demi Zat yang jiwaku ada di tangan-Nya! Sesungguhnya aku melihat setan masuk dari sela-sela saf seperti kambing hitam yang kecil." (Hadis sahih; HR. Abu Daud dengan sanad yang sesuai syarat Muslim)
«الحذَفُ»: بحاءٍ مهملةٍ وذالٍ معجمة، مفتوحتين، ثم فاءٌ وهي: غَنَمٌ سُودٌ صغارٌ تكُونُ بِالْيَمن.
Hadhaf: a type of small black sheep found in Yemen.
الحذَفُ (al-ḥażaf), dengan "ḥā`", dan "żāl" yang berharakat fatah, kemudian "fā`", yaitu: kambing hitam kecil yang terdapat di daerah Yaman.
حاذوا: أمر بالمساواة.

حَاذُوْا (ḥāżū): perintah untuk sejajar.
الخلل: الفرج بين الصفوف.
--
الخَلَلُ (al-khalal): celah antara saf.
لينوا: من اللّيونة والسهولة.
--
لِيْنُوْا (līnū), berasal dari kata al-luyūnah (kelembutan) dan as-suhūlah (kemudahan).
لاتذروا: لا تدعوا.
--
لا تَذَرُوا (lā tażarū): jangan tinggalkan.
1) إقامة الصفوف وتسويتها، والتراص فيها ووصلها، سبب لرحمة الله تعالىٰ، ووصله لعباده، وقطع الصفوف سبب لقطع رحمة الله تعالىٰ.
1) Straightening rows, standing close to one another, and connecting the rows win us the mercy of Allah and connection with Him. Conversely, if we cut off the rows, Allah will cut us off from His mercy.
1) Meluruskan dan menyambung saf ialah sebab adanya rahmat dan pertolongan Allah -Ta'ālā- kepada hamba-Nya, sedangkan memutus saf adalah sebab terputusnya rahmat-Nya.
2) حرص الشيطان علىٰ إفساد صلاة المصلِّي والتشويش عليه، والموفَّق من قطع طرق الشيطان بامتثال هدي خير الأنام صلى الله عليه وسلم.
2) Satan is keen to spoil the prayer and distract worshipers. A wise person would block the ways of Satan by adhering to the Prophet’s guidance.
2) Kegigihan setan untuk merusak salat seseorang serta mengganggunya, dan orang yang mendapat taufik adalah yang memutus semua jalan setan dengan melaksanakan petunjuk manusia terbaik -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-.
12/1093 ــ عَنْ أنس رضي الله عنه أنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «أَتِمُّوا الصَّفَّ المقدَّمَ، ثُمَّ الَّذي يليهِ، فمَا كان مِن نَقْصٍ فَلْيَكُنْ في الصَّفِّ المُؤخَّر». رواه أبو داود بإسناد حسن.
1093/12 - Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Complete the front row, then the one that comes next, and if there is any incompleteness, let it be in the last row.” [Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, with a sound Isnād]
12/1093- Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Sempurnakanlah saf yang terdepan kemudian yang berikutnya. Kalaupun ada saf yang kurang, hendaklah di saf terbelakang." (HR. Abu Daud dengan sanad hasan)
1) الوقوف في الصف الثاني قبل تمام الأول تساهل في هدي النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وسُنّتِه.
1) If a person stands in the second row before the first is completed, he would be neglecting the Prophet’s guidance and Sunnah.
1) Berdiri di saf kedua sebelum saf pertama penuh adalah tindakan melalaikan petunjuk dan Sunnah Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-.
2) عناية الشريعة بتكامل صفوف المصلِّين، لأن في ذلك تربيةً علىٰ تراصّ أهل الإيمان.
2) The Shariah cares for the completion of the rows of worshipers, which trains the believers to be close to one another.
2) Besarnya perhatian agama pada kesempurnaan saf salat karena hal itu mengandung pembinaan terjalinnya keakraban antara orang-orang beriman.
13/1094 ــ عَنْ عائشةَ رضي الله عنها قالت: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إنَّ اللهَ وملائكَتَهُ يُصَلُّون علىٰ مَيَامِنِ الصُّفوفِ». رواه أبو داود بإسناد علىٰ شَرْط مُسْلم، وفيه رجلٌ مُخْتلَفٌ في تَوْثيقهِ[13].
1094/13 - ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the right sides of rows.” [Narrated by Abu Dāwūd, with an Isnād that meets the conditions set by Muslim; the reliability of one of the narrators is questioned] [13]
13/1094- Aisyah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhā- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Sesungguhnya Allah dan para malaikat-Nya berselawat kepada bagian kanan saf." (HR. Abu Daud dengan sanad yang sesuai dengan syarat Muslim; di dalamnya terdapat perawi yang diperselisihkan derajat ṡiqah-nya). [13].
14/1095 ــ وعَنِ البَرَاءِ رضي الله عنه قالَ: «كُنَّا إذا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ رسولِ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْبَبْنَا أَنْ نكُونَ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، يُقْبِلُ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يقول: «رَبِّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ ــ أَوْ تَجْمَعُ ــ عِبَادَكَ». رواه مسلم.
1095/14 - Al-Barā’ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Whenever we prayed behind the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), we liked to be on his right side, as he would turn towards us with his face. I once heard him say: “O Lord, save me from Your punishment on the day You will resurrect - or gather - Your servants.” [Narrated by Muslim]
14/1095- Al-Barā` -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, "Dahulu, apabila kami mengerjakan salat di belakang Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-, kami senang berada di sebelah kanan beliau, karena beliau akan menghadap kami dengan wajahnya. Aku mendengar beliau membaca, Rabbi qinī 'ażābaka yauma tab'aṡu -atau: tajma'u- 'ibādaka (Ya Rabbi! Lindungilah aku dari azab-Mu pada hari Engkau membangkitkan -atau mengumpulkan- hamba-hamba-Mu.'" (HR. Muslim)
1) فضيلة الوقوف في ميامن الصفوف، لنيل أجر الصلاة من الله وملائكته علىٰ ميمنة الصف.
1) It shows the merit of standing in the right side of rows so as to win the blessings sent by Allah and His angels.
1) Kutamaan berdiri di bagian kanan saf supaya mendapat pahala selawat dari Allah dan para malaikat-Nya kepada orang yang ada di bagian kanan saf.
2) فقه المسألة: أن نحرص علىٰ ميمنة الصف دون هجرٍ للميسرة، إذ لابد من توسيط الإمام.
2) The proper course in this regard is that we should be keen to stand in the right side of the row without abandoning the left side, for the Imām has to be in the middle.
2) Fikih yang benar dalam permasalahan ini adalah kita tetap bersungguh-sungguh untuk mendapatkan bagian kanan saf tanpa memboikot saf bagian kiri, karena imam harus ada di bagian tengah.
15/1096ــ عَنْ أبي هُرَيْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «وسِّطُوا الإمَامَ، وَسُدُّوا الخَلَلَ». رواه أبو داود[14].
1096/15 - Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Make the Imām stand in the middle and fill gaps.” [Narrated by Abu Dāwūd] [14]
15/1096- Abu Hurairah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Jadikanlah imam berada di tengah-tengah kalian dan tutuplah semua celah dalam saf." (HR. Abu Daud) [14].
1) المقصود من توسيط الإمام أن يكون اليمين واليسار متقاربين، فإذا تساويا فاليمين أفضل.
1) What is intended by making the Imām stand in the middle is that the right and left sides should be close in size. In case they are equal, then standing in the right side is better.
1) Tujuan penempatan imam di bagian tengah adalah agar bagian kanan dan kiri sama-sama dekat, ketika keduanya sama maka bagian kanan lebih afdal.
2) من حسن إقامة الصف سدّ الخلل بالتراصّ بالأقدام، والتحاذي بالمناكب والأعناق .
2) To straighten the rows properly, we should fill the gaps and stand close to one another, foot to foot, with the shoulders and necks aligned.
2) Di antara tindakan meluruskan saf dengan baik yaitu menutup celah dengan merapatkan kaki dan menyejajarkan bahu dan leher.
1) الشطر الثاني من الحديث: «سدّوا الخلل» صحيح، لأنه تقدّم في حديث ابن عمر (1091): «أقيموا الصفوف، وحاذوا بين المناكب، وسدوا الخلل». أما قوله: «وسِّطُوا الإمام» فضعيف لا يثبت من قول النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
1) The second half of the Hadīth “and fill gaps” is authentic, as it occurs in the Hadīth reported by Ibn ‘Umar (1091), which reads: “Arrange the rows in order, align your shoulders, and fill the gaps.” As for the statement “make the Imām stand in the middle”, it is weak and not authentically reported from the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him).
1) Baris kedua dari hadis ini, "Tutuplah semua celah" adalah sahih, karena telah disebutkan dalam hadis riwayat Ibnu Umar (no. 1091), yaitu: "Luruskanlah saf kalian, sejajarkan antara bahu, dan tutuplah semua celah." Adapun kalimat, "Jadikanlah imam berada di tengah-tengah kalian" adalah daif dan tidak sahih dari perkataan Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-.
2) سبق التنبيه على ضعف حديث: «إن الله وملائكته يصلون على ميامن الصفوف» ولكن الرواية ثابتة بلفظ: «... يُصَلُّون علىٰ الذين يَصِلُون الصفوف». رواه أحمد في (مسنده) وأبو داود في (سننه) والبيهقي في (السنن الكبرىٰ) من حديث عائشة رضي الله عنها.
2) We have previously noted the weakness of the Hadīth “Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the right sides of rows.” But there is an authentic version that says: “...send blessings upon those who connect the rows.” [Narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dāwūd, and Al-Bayhaqi; reported by ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)]
2) Sebelumnya telah diingatkan tentang kedaifan hadis, "Sesungguhnya Allah dan para malaikat-Nya berselawat kepada bagian kanan saf." Namun riwayat yang sahih adalah dengan redaksi, "... mereka berselawat kepada orang yang menyambung saf." (HR. Ahmad dalam Musnad-nya, Abu Daud dalam Sunan-nya, dan Al-Baihaqiy dalam As-Sunan Al-Kubrā dari hadis Aisyah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhā-)
