تَقدَّمَ في هذه الأبوابِ حديثُ ابنِ عُمَر، وحديثُ عائشةَ، وهما صَحيحانِ؛ أَنَّ النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كانَ يُصلِّي بَعْدَ المغرِبِ رَكعَتَيْنِ.
We have cited in the previous chapters a Hadīth by Ibn ‘Umar and another by ‘Ā’ishah, both of which are authentic. They report that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two Rak‘ahs after the Maghrib prayer.
Telah disebutkan dalam bab-bab sebelumnya hadis Ibnu Umar dan hadis Aisyah, keduanya adalah hadis sahih yang menyebutkan bahwa Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- biasa mengerjakan salat dua rakaat sebelum Magrib.
1/1122ــ عَنْ عبد الله بن مُغَفَّلٍ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ: «صلُّوها قبلَ المغربِ» قَالَ في الثالثة: «لمَنْ شَاءَ». رواه البخاري.
1122/1 - ‘Abdullāh ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Pray it before the Maghrib prayer.” In the third time, he said: “for whoever wills.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri]
1/1122- Abdullah bin Mugaffal -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan dari Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bahwa beliau bersabda, "Lakukanlah salat itu sebelum Magrib." Beliau menambahkan pada kali ketiga, "Bagi siapa yang mau." (HR. Bukhari)
2/1123ــ عَنْ أنس رضي الله عنه قَالَ: لقد رأيتُ كبارَ أصحابِ رَسُولِ اللهِِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَبْتَدِرُون السَّوَاريَ عندَ المَغربِ. رواه البخاري.
1123/2 - Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “I saw senior Companions of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) rushing to the pillars (of the mosque to perform two Rak‘ahs behind them) before the Maghrib prayer.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri]
2/1123- Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, "Sungguh aku telah melihat para sahabat Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- yang senior berebut menuju tiang masjid (untuk mengerjakan salat sunah) ketika Magrib." (HR. Bukhari)
3/1124ــ وعَنْه قَالَ: كُنَّا نُصلِّي علىٰ عهد رَسُولِ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ركْعَتَين بعدَ غُروبِ الشَّمسِ قَبلَ المَغربِ، فقِيلَ: أكانَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاَّهُمَا؟ قَالَ: كان يرانَا نُصلِّيهما فَلَمْ يأمُرْنا ولَمْ يَنْهَنا. رواه مسلم.
1124/3 - He also reported: “During the Prophet’s lifetime, we used to offer two Rak‘ahs after sunset before the Maghrib prayer.” He was asked: “Did the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) offer them?” He said: “He would see us offering them, but he would not command or prohibit us.” [Narrated by Muslim]
3/1124- Juga dari Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu-, dia berkata, "Dahulu pada masa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- kami biasa mengerjakan salat dua rakaat setelah matahari tenggelam sebelum salat Magrib." Dia ditanya, "Apakah Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- mengerjakannya?" Anas menjawab, "Beliau biasa melihat kami mengerjakannya, maka beliau tidak memerintahkan kami dan tidak juga melarang." (HR. Muslim)
4/1125ــ وعنه قَالَ: كُنَّا بِالمَدِينَةِ، فإذا أَذَّنَ المُؤَذِّنُ لِصلاَةِ المَغرِبِ ابْتَدَرُوا السَّوَارِيَ، فَرَكَعُوا رَكْعَتَيْنِ، حَتَّىٰ إنَّ الرَّجُلَ الغَرِيبَ ليَدْخُلُ المَسْجِدَ، فَيَحْسَبُ أَنَّ الصَّلاةَ قَدْ صُلِّيَتْ مِن كَثرَةِ مَنْ يُصَلِّيهِمَا. رَواه مُسلِمٌ.
1125/4 - He also reported: “When we were in Madīnah, the moment the Muezzin finished the Adhān of the Maghrib prayer, the people would hasten to the pillars of the mosque and perform two Rak‘ahs behind them. A stranger coming into the mosque would think that the obligatory prayer had already been performed because of the number of people performing them.” [Narrated by Muslim]
4/1125- Masih dari Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu-, dia berkata, "Dahulu kami di Madinah, apabila muazin mengumandangkan azan untuk salat Magrib, mereka berebutan menuju tiang masjid untuk melaksanakan salat dua rakaat. Sampai-sampai, orang yang asing ketika masuk masjid, maka dia menyangka bahwa salat Magrib telah selesai dikerjakan karena banyaknya orang yang mengerjakan dua rakaat tersebut." (HR. Muslim)
يبتدرون السواري: يستبقون سواري المسجد، لاتخاذها سترة للصلاة.

يَبْتَدِرُون السَّوَاريَ: mereka berebutan menuju tiang masjid untuk dijadikan sebagai sutrah (pembatas) salat.
1) اغتنام الصحابة رضي الله عنهم نافلة المغرب، وحرصهم عليها.
1) The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were keen to perform the supererogatory Rak‘ahs associated with the Maghrib prayer.
1) Antusiasme para sahabat -raḍiyallāhu 'anhum- terhadap salat sunah Magrib.
2) صلاة نافلة المغرب القبلية سُنة، لكنها ليست مؤكدة كالتي بعدها.
2) The supererogatory Rak‘ahs before the Maghrib are Sunnah, but they are not confirmed like the Sunnah after Maghrib.
2) Salat sunah sebelum Magrib hukumnya sunah, tetapi tidak ditekankan seperti salat sunah setelahnya.
