258. Chapter on Forbidding Reporting Speech and People’s Talk to the Ruler When There Is no Need for That, Like Fearing an Evil Thing to Occur or the Like

258- BAB LARANGAN MENYAMPAIKAN UCAPAN DAN PERKATAAN ORANG KEPADA PENGUASA JIKA TIDAK ADA HAJAT YANG MENDESAK SEPERTI KHAWATIR MENIMBULKAN KERUSAKAN DAN SEBAGAINYA

قَالَ الله تَعَالىٰ: {وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلإِثمِ وَٱلعُدوَٰنِ} [المائدة: 2] . وفي الباب الأحاديث السابقة في الباب قبله.

Allah Almighty says: {and do not cooperate in sin and transgression} [Al-Mā’idah: 2] This chapter contains the same Hadīths in the previous chapter.

Allah -Ta'ālā- berfirman, "Dan janganlah tolong-menolong dalam berbuat dosa dan permusuhan." (QS. Al-Mā`idah: 2) Hadis-hadis yang berkaitan dengan bab ini juga telah disebutkan dalam bab sebelumnya.

1/1539 ــ وعن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «لا يُبلِّغني أحدٌ من أصحابي عن أحدٍ شيئاً، فإنِّي أحبُّ أن أخْرُجَ إليكُمْ وأنَا سليمُ الصَّدْر». رواه أبو داود والترمذي[8].

1539/1- Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Let not anyone of my Companions convey to me anything (bad) regarding another for I like to come out to you bearing no ill-feelings.” [Narrated by Abu Dāwūd and Al-Tirmidhi] [8]

1/1539- Ibnu Mas'ūd -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, "Janganlah ada seorang pun di antara sahabatku menyampaikan sesuatu tentang (sahabat) yang lain, karena aku ingin keluar menemui kalian dalam keadaan hati yang bersih." (HR. Abu Daud dan Tirmizi) [8]

Pelajaran dari Hadis:

1) وجوب ستر حَال المسلم، وعدم تتبع عثراته، لأن ذلك يورث البغضاء والغل في الأنفس.

1) It is obligatory to conceal the state of a fellow Muslim and not pursue his shortcomings because doing this results in hatred and grudge.

1) Kewajiban menutup aib seorang muslim dan tidak mencari-cari kesalahannya karena hal itu akan melahirkan sikap saling benci dan dendam dalam hati.

2) حث النَّبيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم علىٰ سلامة الصدر بين المؤمنين، لأن هذا من أعظم أسباب قوتهم وجمع كلمتهم. {وَٱعتَصِمُواْ بِحَبلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواْ}.

2) The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) encourages Muslims to have good feelings for each other because it is one of the greatest reasons for their strength and unity. {And hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not be divided}

2) Anjuran Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- untuk menjaga kebersihan hati di antara orang beriman karena hal ini termasuk sebab paling besar untuk mewujudkan kekuatan dan menyatukan kalimat mereka; "Dan berpegangteguhlah kamu semuanya pada tali (agama) Allah, dan janganlah kamu bercerai-berai." (QS. Āli 'Imrān: 103)
