1/1652ــ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «لاَ تَتْرُكُوا النَّارَ في بُيُوتِكُمْ حِينَ تَنَامُونَ». متفقٌ عليه.
1652/1 - Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not keep the fire burning in your homes when you go to bed.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
1/1652- Ibnu Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- meriwayatkan dari Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bahwa beliau bersabda, "Jangan biarkan api menyala di rumah kalian ketika kalian sedang tidur!" (Muttafaq ‘Alaih)
2/1653ــ وَعَنْ أبي مُوسَىٰ الأَشْعَرِيِّ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: احْتَرَقَ بَيْتٌ بِالمَدِينَةِ عَلىٰ أَهْلِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَلَمَّا حُدِّثَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بِشَأْنِهِمْ قَالَ: «إنَّ هذه النَّارَ عَدُوٌّ لَكُمْ، فَإذَا نِمْتُمْ فَأَطْفِئُوهَا». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
1653/2 - Abu Mūsa al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “A house in Madinah caught fire with its inhabitants inside. When the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was informed about this matter, he said: ‘Indeed, this fire is your enemy. So put it out before going to bed.’” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
2/1653- Abu Musa Al-Asy'ariy -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, Sebuah rumah di Madinah terbakar bersama pemiliknya pada malam hari. Ketika Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- diceritakan tentang kondisi mereka, beliau bersabda, "Sesungguhnya api itu musuh bagi kalian. Jika kalian tidur, maka padamkanlah!" (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
3/1654ــ وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ رضي الله عنه عَنْ رَسُولِ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: «غَطُّوا الإنَاءَ، وَأَوْكِئُوا السِّقَاءَ، وَأَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ، وَأَطْفِئُوا السِّرَاجَ، فَإنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لاَ يَحِلُّ سِقَاءً، وَلاَ يَفْتَحُ بَاباً، وَلاَ يَكْشِفُ إنَاءً، فَإنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدُكُمْ إلَّا أَنْ يَعْرُضَ عَلىٰ إنَائِهِ عُوداً، وَيَذْكُرَ اسْمَ الله فَلْيَفْعَلْ، فَإنَّ الفُوَيْسِقَةَ تَضْرِمُ عَلىٰ أَهْلِ البَيْتِ بَيْتَهُمْ». رواهُ مسلم.
1654/3 - Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Cover the vessels, fasten the waterskins, close the doors, and extinguish the lamps, for indeed the devil does not loosen waterskins, nor open doors, nor uncover vessels. If one can find nothing to cover his vessel with other than a stick while mentioning the name of Allah, let him do so, for a mouse may set a house on fire with its inhabitants inside.” [Narrated by Muslim]
3/1654- Jābir -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan dari Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-, bahwa beliau bersabda, "Tutuplah bejana, ikatlah kantung air, tutuplah pintu, dan padamkanlah lampu karena setan tidak bisa membuka ikatan kantong air, tidak bisa membuka pintu, dan tidak dapat membuka tutup bejana. Jika salah seorang kalian tidak menemukan sesuatu untuk menutup bejananya kecuali sebuah kayu dan menyebut nama Allah, maka lakukanlah hal itu. Sesungguhnya tikus dapat membakar pemilik rumah dengan membakar rumahnya." (HR. Muslim)
«الفُوَيْسِقَةُ»: الفَأَرَةُ، وَ«تَضْرِمُ»: تُحْرِقُ.

الفُوَيْسِقَةُ (al-fuwaisiqah): tikus. تَضْرِمُ (taḍrimu): ia membakar.
أوكئوا: اربطوا. السقاء: ظرف من الجلد يوضع فيه الماء.

أَوْكِئُوا (awki`ū): ikatlah oleh kalian. السِّقَاءَ (as-siqā`): wadah terbuat dari kulit yang digunakan menyimpan air.
1) النهي عن ترك مواقد النار في البيوت عند النوم خشية الاحتراق.
1) It is prohibited to leave a burning fire in houses when going to bed lest it should set the house on fire.
1) Larangan meninggalkan tungku api dalam keadaan masih menyala di dalam rumah ketika tidur karena dikhawatirkan terjadi kebakaran.
2) استحباب تغطية أوعية الطعام وسد خزانات المياه، صوناً لها من نزول البلاء أو الآفات كالحشرات والأوساخ والأوبئة.
2) It is recommended to cover food vessels and close water tanks to prevent insects, dirt, epidemics, or anything harmful from falling therein.
2) Anjuran menutup wadah makanan dan menyumbat tempat penyimpanan air untuk melindunginya dari berbagai bala atau bahaya seperti serangga, kotoran, dan wabah.
3) استحباب إغلاق الأبواب عند النوم.
3) It is recommended to shut the doors before going to bed.
3) Anjuran menutup pintu ketika tidur.
4) إن ملازمة الأذكار الشرعية من أسباب حفظ العبد، وحمايته من مكائد الشياطين.
4) One of the means of protection against the devil’s cunning plots is to regularly recite the Shariah-approved supplications.
4) Merutinkan zikir-zikir yang disyariatkan termasuk penyebab seseorang dijaga dan dilindungi dari tipu daya setan.
لا بأس ببقاء المصابيح الكهربائية ــ ذات الأنوار الخافتة، والتي تبقىٰ في الليل ــ مُضاءة، لأن علة النهي وهي الإحراق غير موجودة فيها، والله أعلم.
There is nothing wrong in leaving electric lamps with dim light turned on during the night. The reason behind the prohibition above is the fear from burning, a possibility that does not exist with electric lamps, and Allah knows best.
Tidak mengapa membiarkan lampu listrik -yang memiliki sinar redup- tetap menyala di malam hari, karena ilat (sebab) larangan ini, yaitu sebab terjadinya kebakaran, tidak terdapat padanya. Wallāhu a'lam.
