105- BAB LARANGAN MAKAN DUA BUTIR KURMA SEKALIGUS DAN YANG LAINNYA KETIKA MAKAN BERJEMAAH KECUALI DENGAN SEIZIN REKANNYA

105 - Chapter on the prohibition to eat two dates and the like at a time if one is eating with a group, unless the others give permission

1/742ــ عن جَبَلَةَ بن سُحَيْم قال: أصَابَنا عامُ سَنَةٍ مَعَ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، فَرُزِقْنَا تَمْراً، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ الله بنُ عُمرً رضي الله عنهما يَمُرُّ بنا ونَحْنُ نَأْكُلُ، فيقولُ: لا تُقَارِنُوا، فإن النَّبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم «نَهىٰ عنِ الإقرانِ، ثم يقولُ: إلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَأْذِنَ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ». متفقٌ عليه.

1/742- Jabalah bin Suḥaim berkata, "Kami ditimpa paceklik pada masa Ibnu Az-Zubair, dan kami diberikan santunan kurma. Kemudian Abdullah bin Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- lewat ketika kami sedang makan, maka ia berkata, 'Janganlah kalian makan dengan mengumpulkan dua butir sekaligus. Karena Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- telah melarang makan dengan mengumpulkan dua butir sekaligus.' Selanjutnya dia berkata, "Kecuali setelah orang tersebut meminta izin kepada saudaranya.'" (Muttafaq 'Alaih)

742/1 - Jabalah ibn Suhaym reported: “We were afflicted with a year of drought at the time of ‘Abdullāh ibn al-Zubayr. We received some dates. ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) would pass by us while we were eating and he would say: ‘Do not take two at a time, for indeed the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade taking two at a time. Then, he said: “Unless one asks for his brother’s permission.’” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]

Guidance from the Hadīth:

1) النهي عن القِرَان في الطعام من غير إذن لمن يؤاكلهم، لما فيه من الظلم للآخرين.

1) Larangan makan dengan menggabungkan dua butir sekaligus tanpa seizin teman makannya karena mengandung kezaliman kepada orang lain.

1) It is forbidden to eat two items of food at a time without permission from those sharing the meal with him, for this would be injustice to the others.

2) شمول الشريعة حتىٰ لجزئيات الآداب، وهذا يدلّ علىٰ عظم قدر التشريع الإسلامي.

2) Kesempurnaan agama Islam, bahkan hingga dalam perincian adab, dan ini menunjukan keagungan ajaran syariat Islam.

2) Comprehensiveness of the Shariah that it addresses even the fine aspects of etiquette, a sign of the sublimity of the Islamic legislation.
