1/1764 ــ عن أبي هُرَيْرَةَ وعائشةَ رضي الله عنها أنَّ النَّبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَىٰ عَنِ الوِصَالِ. متفقٌ عليه.
1/1764- Abu Hurairah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- melarang puasa wiṣāl. (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
1764/1 - Abu Hurayrah and ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade uninterrupted fast. [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
2/1765 ــ وعن ابن عُمَرَ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: نَهَىٰ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الوصَالِ، قالُوا: إنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ؟ قَالَ: «إنِّي لستُ مثلَكُمْ، إنِّي أُطْعَمُ وأُسْقَىٰ». متفقٌ عليه، وهذا لفظُ البخاري.
2/1765- Ibnu Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- berkata, Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- melarang puasa wiṣāl. Para sahabat bertanya, "Tapi, engkau sendiri berpuasa wiṣāl?" Beliau bersabda, "Aku tidak seperti kalian, karena aku diberi makan dan minum." (Muttafaq 'Alaih, dan ini redaksi Bukhari)
1765/2 - Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: “The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade uninterrupted fast. They said: ‘But you observe uninterrupted fast.’ He said: ‘I am not like you. I am given food and drink (by Allah).’” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri - this is his wording - and Muslim]
1) النهي عن الوصال في الصوم حفظاً للنفس، لئلا تملَّ من مواصلة العبادة دون انقطاع.
1) Larangan melakukan puasa wiṣāl demi menjaga jiwa agar tidak bosan lantaran terus-menerus menyambung ibadah tanpa putus.
1) It is prohibited to fast uninterruptedly lest one should get bored with uninterrupted worship.
2) بيان سعة رحمة الله ولطفه بعباده، فإنه جل جلاله أرحم بهم من أنفسهم.
2) Menjelaskan luasnya rahmat dan kasih sayang Allah kepada hamba-Nya,yaitu Allah Yang Mahamulia lebih sayang kepada mereka daripada diri mereka sendiri.
2) They point out Allah’s vast mercy and kindness towards His servants. Indeed, He is more merciful to them than their own selves.
