1/1637 ــ عَن جابر رضي الله عنه قَالَ: أُتِيَ بأبي قُحافةَ والدِ أبي بكرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رضي الله عنهما يومَ فتحِ مكَّةَ، ورأسُهُ ولحيَتُهُ كالثُّغَامة بَيَاضاً، فقال رَسُول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «غيِّرُوا هذا، واجْتَنبُوا السَّوادَ». رواهُ مسلم.
1637/1- Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abu Quhāfah, father of Abu Bakr as-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with them) was brought on the day of the Conquest of Makkah with his head and beard as white as a Thaghāmah (a white plant). Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Change this and avoid black.” [Narrated by Muslim]
1/1637- Jābir -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, "Abu Quhāfah, ayah Abu Bakar Aṣ-Ṣiddīq -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- dibawa menghadap Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- pada hari penaklukan Mekah sementara kepala dan janggutnya telah putih seperti bunga ṡugāmah. Maka Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, Ubahlah warna putih ini, dan jauhilah warna hitam!'" (HR. Muslim)
الثغامة: نبت أبيض الزهر والثمر، يُشبَّه به الشيب لبياضه.
Thaghāmah: a plant with white flowers and fruits. White hair is likened to it given its whiteness.
الثُّغَامَةُ (aṡ-ṡugāmah): tumbuhan yang memiliki bunga dan buah berwarna putih, dijadikan sebagai perumpamaan uban karena warna putihnya.
1) استحباب خضاب شعر كبير السن، اتباعاً للسنة النبوية، ومخالفةً للمشركين.
1) It is recommended to dye the hair of the elderly in compliance with the Prophetic Sunnah, and in opposition to the polytheists.
1) Anjuran menyemir rambut orang yang sudah berumur tua sebagai wujud mengikuti Sunnah Nabi dan menyelisihi orang-orang musyrik.
2) تحريم الخضاب باللون الأسود، ومن الحكمة في ذلك: أن الخضاب بالسواد فيه إظهار لخلاف واقع الأمر وحقيقته.
2) It is prohibited to dye the hair in black. Some rationale behind that is avoiding the concealment of the reality.
2) Pengharaman menyemir rambut menggunakan warna hitam, di antara hikmahnya bahwa semir warna hitam menampilkan kebalikan dari hakikat dan realitas rambut.
روىٰ الإمام أحمد في (مسنده: 3/160) عن محمد بن سيرين قال: سُئل أنس ابن مالك عن خضاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال:
Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad (3/160) on the authority of Muhammad ibn Sīrīn that he said: Anas ibn Mālik was asked about the dye of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), and he said:
Imam Ahmad meriwayatkan dalam Al-Musnad (3/160), dari Muhammad bin Sīrīn, dia berkata, Anas bin Mālik pernah ditanya tentang semir Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-, maka dia berkata,
إنَّ رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لم يكن شَابَ إلا يسيراً، ولكنَّ أبا بكرٍ وعُمرَ بعدَهُ خَضَبَا بالحنَّاءِ والكتمِ، قال: وجاء أبو بكر بأبيه أبي قحافة إلىٰ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم فتح مكة يحمله، حتىٰ وضعه بين يدي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأبي بكر: «لو أقررت الشيخ ــ يعني : أبا قحافة ــ لأتيناه مكرمةً لأبي بكر»؛ فأسلم ولحيته ورأسه كالثّغامة بياضاً، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «غيِّروهما، وجَنِّبُوه السَّوادَ».
“The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) had only a little white hair. But Abu Bakr and ‘Umar dyed their hair after him with Katam and Hinna. Also, Abu Bakr came with his father Abu Quhāfah to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the Conquest of Makkah. He was carrying him and placed him in front of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) who said to Abu Bakr: ‘If you had kept him at his house, we would have come to him,’ in honor of Abu Bakr. Abu Quhāfah accepted Islam, and his head and beard were as white as a Thaghāmah (a plant with white flowers and fruits). Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:‘Change them, and avoid black.’”
"Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- tidak memiliki uban kecuali sedikit. Tapi setelahnya Abu Bakar dan Umar menyemir rambutnya dengan daun pacar dan katam (sejenis dengan pacar)." Anas berkata, "Ketika penaklukan Mekah, Abu Bakar datang dengan membawa ayahnya, Abu Quḥāfah kepada Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- lalu meletakkannya di hadapan beliau. Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- berkata kepada Abu Bakar, 'Kalau saja engkau biarkan beliau -yaitu Abu Quḥāfah- di rumahnya lalu kami yang datang kepadanya untuk memuliakan Abu Bakar.' Abu Quḥāfah kemudian masuk Islam, sementara rambut dan janggutnya telah memutih seperti bunga ṡugāmah. Maka Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- bersabda, 'Ubahlah keduanya. Tapi hindari warna hitam.'"
