قَالَ الله تَعَالىٰ: {إِن يَدعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ إِلَّا إِنَٰثا وَإِن يَدعُونَ إِلَّا شَيطَٰنا مَّرِيدا * لَّعَنَهُ ٱللَّهُ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِن عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبا مَّفرُوضا * وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُم وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُم وَلَأمُرَنَّهُم فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ ءَاذَانَ ٱلأَنعَٰمِ وَلَأمُرَنَّهُم فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلقَ ٱللَّهِ} الآية [النساء: 117 ــ 119].
Allah Almighty says: {They call upon none besides Him except female [idols]; they call upon none but a rebellious Satan whom Allah cursed, who said, “I will surely take hold of a designated portion of Your slaves. And I will surely mislead them and arouse in them false hopes, and will order them to slit the ears of livestock, and will order them to change Allah’s creation.” Whoever takes Satan as a protector instead of Allah has surely suffered a manifest loss.”} [Surat an-Nisā’: 117-119]
1) إن تغيير خلق الله _عز وجل_ من مُضِلاّت الشيطان للإنسان .
1) Changing the creation of Allah Almighty is one of the things into which Satan misleads people.
2) الشيء المحرم في تغيير خلق الله ما كان في غير المأذون به شرعاً، مما هو طاعة للشيطان، أمّا المأذون فيه، كنتف الإبط، وقص الشعر، والشارب ،ونحوه فإنه مشروع.
2) What is prohibited in changing the creation of Allah is that which goes beyond what is sanctioned by the Shariah, which constitutes obedience to Satan. But permissible things are such as plucking the armpit hair, cutting the hair, trimming the mustache, and the like.
1/1642 ــ وَعَنْ أَسْمَاءَ رضي الله عنها أَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ الله، إنَّ ابْنَتِي أَصابَتْهَا الْحَصْبَةُ، فَتَمَرقَ شَعْرُهَا، وَإنِّي زَوَّجْتُهَا، أَفَأَصِلُ فِيهِ ؟ فَقَالَ: «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالمَوصُولَةَ». متفقٌ عليه.
1642/1 - Asmā’ (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that a woman came to the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have a daughter who had measles and her hair fell off. I have given her in marriage. So, can I add an extension to it?” Thereupon, he said: “Allah has cursed the one who does hair extensions and the one who has it done for her.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
وفي روايةٍ: «الْوَاصِلَةَ، وَالمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ».
Another narration reads: “The one who does hair extensions and the one who asks for it.”
قَوْلُها: «فَتَمَرَّقَ» هو بالرَّاءِ، ومَعناه: انْتَثَرَ وَسقَطَ. وَالْوَاصِلَةُ: الَّتي تَصِلُ شَعْرَهَا، أو شَعْرَ غيرها بشَعْرٍ آخَرَ. «وَالمَوْصُولَةُ»: الَّتي يُوصَلُ شَعْرُهَا. «وَالمُسْتَوْصِلَةُ»: الَّتي تَسْأَلُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ ذلِكَ لَها.

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رضي الله عنها نَحْوُهُ، متفقٌ عليهِ.
‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported something similar. [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
2/1643ــ وَعَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ أَنّهُ سَمعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ رضي الله عنه عَامَ حَجَّ عَلَىٰ المِنْبَرِ، وَتَنَاوَلَ قُصَّةً مِنْ شَعْرٍ كَانَتْ في يَدِ حَرسِيٍّ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَهْلَ المَدِينَةِ، أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ؟! سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَىٰ عَنْ مِثْلِ هذِهِ، وَيَقُولُ: «إنَّمَا هَلَكَتْ بَنُو إسْرَائِيلَ حِينَ اتَّخذَ هذه نِسَاؤهُمْ». متفقٌ عليه.
1643/2 - Humayd ibn ‘Abdur-Rahmān reported that he heard Mu‘āwiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the year he performed Hajj - having taken a lock of hair that was in the hand of a guard - said on the pulpit: “O people of Madinah, where are your scholars?! I heard the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbidding the like of this and saying: ‘The children of Israel were ruined when their women started using this.’” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
قُصّة: خصلة من الشعر.

حرسي: غلام الأمير كالشرطي.

1) تحريم وصل الشعر، ومن ذلك ما يسمىٰ (الباروكة)، فهذا الفعل من الكبائر، لورود اللعن عليه، فأين الرجال من نسائهم وهنَّ يرتكبن كبائر الذنوب؟!
1) It is prohibited to add hair extensions, which include wigs. This is a major sin, as it brings curse from Allah Almighty. Why do some men stand idly by while their women commit such a grave sin?!
2) إن وصل الشعر من أعمال اليهود المغضوب عليهم، فالحذرَ الحذرَ من سلوك طريقهم، والتشبه بأفعالهم، «فمن تشبه بقوم فهو منهم».
2) Adding hair extensions is one of the practices of the Jews with whom Allah Almighty is displeased. So, we should be extremely careful not to follow their way or imitate their acts, for “he who imitates a people is one of them”.
3/1644 ــ وَعَن ابْنِ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنه «أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لَعَنَ الْوَاصِلَةَ وَالمُسْتَوْصِلَةَ، وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالمُسْتَوشِمَةَ». متفقٌ عليهِ.
1644/3 - Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who does hair extensions and the woman who asks for it, the woman who tattoos and the woman who asks for it.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
4/1645 ــ وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: «لَعَنَ اللهُ الْوَاشِمَاتِ وَالمُسْتَوْشِمَاتِ، وَالمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ، وَالمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ لِلْحُسْنِ، المُغَيِّرَاتِ خَلْقَ الله» فَقَالَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَةٌ في ذلِكَ، فَقَالَ: وَمَالي لاَ أَلْعَنُ مَنْ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ في كِتَابِ الله؟! قَالَ الله تَعَالَىٰ: {وَمَا ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُم عَنهُ فَٱنتَهُواْ} [الحشر: 7]. متَّفق عليه.
1645/4 - Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “Allah has cursed those women who tattoo and those women who ask for it, those women who get their hair removed from their eyebrows, and those who make artificial spaces between their teeth for beauty, whereby they change Allah’s creation.” A woman started to argue with him about that. Thereupon, he said: “Why should I not curse those cursed by the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), and it exists in the Book of Allah? Allah Almighty says: {Whatever the Messenger gives you, accept it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it.} [Surat al-Hashr: 7]” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
«المُتَفَلِّجَةُ»: هي الَّتي تَبْرُدُ مِنْ أَسْنَانِهَا لِيَتبَاعَدَ بَعْضُهَا مِنْ بَعْضٍ قَلِيلاً، وَتُحَسِّنُهَا، وَهُوَ الْوَشْر، وَالنَامِصَةُ: هِيَ الَّتي تَأْخُذُ مِنْ شَعَرِ حَاجِبِ غَيْرِهَا، وَتُرقِّقُهُ لِيَصِيرَ حَسَناً، وَالمُتَنَمِّصَةُ: الَّتي تَأْمُرُ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ بِهَا ذلِكَ.

1) تحريم الوصل والوشم والنمص والتفليج، وبيان أن الفاعل والمفعول به كلاهما ملعون.
1) Adding false hair, tattooing, removing hair from eyebrows, and making artificial spaces between teeth are all prohibited. The Hadīths point out that both the doers and those for whom these acts are done are cursed.
2) الإعلام بأن حجية السنة ثابتة بالكتاب، ولذلك استدل ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه علىٰ حجيتها بقوله تعالىٰ: {وَمَا ءَاتَىٰكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَمَا نَهَىٰكُم عَنهُ فَٱنتَهُواْ}.
2) Reference to the Sunnah as a basis for rulings is established by the Qur’an. That is why Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) cited as proof for the authority of the Sunnah the verse that says: {Whatever the Messenger gives you, accept it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it.}
