1- Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: On the day of Eid, the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) would proceed (to the prayer place) taking one route and return by another. [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri]
1/719- Jābir -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- berkata, "Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- ketika hari raya biasa melewati jalan yang berbeda ketika pergi dan pulang." (HR. Bukhari)

Ucapannya "خَالَفَ الطَّرِيقَ", maksudnya pergi dengan melewati satu jalan kemudian pulang melewati jalan yang lain.
720/2 - ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to go by way of Al-Shajarah and return by way of Al-Mu‘arras. He would also enter Makkah through the Higher Pass and leave through the Lower Pass. [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]
2/720- Abdullah bin Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- biasa keluar (dari Madinah) melalui jalur Asy-Syajarah dan masuk melalui jalur Al-Mu'arras. Sedangkan ketika memasuki Mekah beliau masuk melalui Aṡ-Ṡaniyyatul-'Ulyā (jalur atas) dan keluar dari Aṡ-Ṡaniyyatus-Suflā (jalur bawah)." (Muttafaq 'Alaih)
Way of Al-Shajarah is a well-known place on the way from Makkah to Madīnah.
Jalur Asy-Syajarah adalah nama sebuah tempat terkenal sebagai jalur pergi menuju Mekah dari Madinah.
Al-Mu‘arras is a well-known place but closer than Al-Shajarah.
Al-Mu'arras adalah nama sebuah tempat terkenal, tapi ia lebih dekat daripada jalur Asy-Syajarah.
The Pass is a narrow route between two mountains. The Higher Pass lies in Al-Hujūn, while the Lower Pass is in Al-Shubaykah.
Aṡ-Ṡaniyyah: jalan yang sempit di antara dua gunung. Jalur atas Mekah ada di Al-Ḥajūn, sedang jalur bawah ada di Asy-Syubaikah.
1) It is recommended to return from the Eid prayer through a different route (than the route one took to the prayer). This applies to both the Imam and those led in prayer.
1) Anjuran bagi imam dan makmum agar melewati jalan yang berbeda ketika pulang dari tempat salat pada hari raya.
2) We are urged to follow the Prophet’s example in relation to the day of Eid.
2) Anjuran supaya meneladani Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- dalam sunah-sunah hari raya.
The scholars said that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) used to do so for a number of reasons, including the following:
Para ulama menyebutkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- sengaja melakukan itu karena adanya beberapa hikmah, di antaranya:
1) The two routes will testify for him, since earth will testify on the Day of Judgment regarding the good and evil that took place therein.
1) Supaya kedua jalan tersebut menjadi saksi untuk beliau, karena bumi ini pada hari Kiamat kelak akan memberi kesaksian tentang apa yang dikerjakan padanya berupa kebaikan ataupun keburukan.
2) To display the rituals of Islam more widely and fill many streets with people on that day.
2) Menampakkan syiar umat Islam pada hari raya mereka sehingga semua pasar yang dilewati penuh dengan syiar Islam.
3) This benefits the poor in the streets, as they receive charity here and there.
3) Beliau melakukannya demi orang-orang miskin yang ada di pasar yang beliau lewati, sehingga sedekah diberikan kepada yang di sini dan yang di sana.
