334- BAB MAKRUH BINCANG-BINCANG SETELAH ISYA

The talk intended here is what is permissible at other times, and it is the same to engage in it or not. As for prohibited or disliked talk at other times, it is more strictly prohibited or disliked at this time. However, if the talk is for a good purpose, like learning, speaking about righteous people and noble morals, and speaking with a guest or someone needing something, then it is not disliked; rather, it is recommended. Likewise, it is not disliked to engage in talk for some excuse or casual reason. The views I have just mentioned are supported by authentic Hadīths.

Perbincangan yang dimaksudkan adalah perbincangan yang hukumnya mubah di selain waktu ini, yaitu yang sama hukumnya antara mengerjakan dan meninggalkannya. Adapun perbincangan yang diharamkan atau dimakruhkan di selain waktu ini, maka di waktu ini lebih diharamkan dan dimakruhkan. Adapun perbincangan yang berisi kebaikan, seperti diskusi ilmiah, cerita orang saleh, dan akhlak mulia, juga perbincangan bersama tamu dan orang yang memiliki keperluan, dan lain sebagainya, maka hukumnya tidak dimakruhkan, bahkan dianjurkan. Demikian juga perbincangan karena suatu alasan atau keperluan, maka tidak dimakruhkan. Hadis-hadis sahih tentang apa yang saya sebutkan sangat banyak sekali.

1746/1 - Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) disliked sleep before the ‘Ishā’ prayer and talk after it.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]

1/1746- Abu Barzah -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- membenci tidur sebelum isya dan berbincang-bincang setelahnya. (Muttafaq 'Alaih)

1) It is disliked for a person to sleep before the ‘Ishā’ prayer, fearing the elapse of its time.

1) Makruh tidur sebelum salat Isya karena khawatir waktunya terluput.

2) It is disliked to engage in talk after the ‘Ishā’ prayer, unless it serves a good purpose, lest a person should delay his sleep and miss the voluntary night prayer and the Fajr prayer.

2) Makruh bincang-bincang dan bergadang setelah Isya tanpa ada kepentingan karena dikhawatirkan terlambat tidur dan berdampak pada luputnya salat malam dan salat Subuh.

1747/2 - Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) led them in ‘Ishā’ prayer during the last days of his life, and after finishing it, he said: “Do you see this night? Nobody present on the surface of the earth tonight will be living after one hundred years.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]

2/1747- Ibnu Umar -raḍiyallāhu 'anhumā- meriwayatkan bahwa Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- melaksanakan salat Isya di akhir hayatnya, lalu setelah salam beliau bersabda, "Apa pendapat kalian tentang malam kalian ini? Sungguh di penghujung seratus tahun nanti, tidak akan tersisa satu pun di antara orang yang ada di muka bumi hari ini." (Muttafaq 'Alaih)

1) It is permissible to engage in talk after the ‘Ishā’ prayer about knowledge and the interests of Muslims. Falling under this is the talk with one’s guest and spouse or for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of Muslims.

1) Boleh bincang-bincang setelah Isya tentang ilmu dan apa saja yang mengandung kemaslahatan bagi kaum muslimin, termasuk perbincangan bersama tamu atau istri, atau untuk menunaikan hajat kaum muslimin.

2) This Hadīth is one of the signs proving the Prophet’s prophethood. He told the Companions about something that would occur in the future, and it did actually happen. Scholars stated that the last surviving Companion, Abu al-Tufayl ‘Āmir ibn Wāthilah, died in 110 AH.

2) Hadis ini termasuk bukti kenabian Rasulullah -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam-; beliau mengabarkan tentang perkara gaib yang terjadi persis seperti yang beliau kabarkan, karena sahabat yang paling terakhir meninggal adalah Abu Aṭ-Ṭufail 'Āmir bin Wāṡilah yang disebutkan oleh para ulama bahwa dia meninggal pada tahun 110 H.

1748/3 - Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that they waited for the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), and he came out around the middle of the night and led them in prayer, i.e. the ‘Ishā’ prayer. Then, he talked to them and said: “Indeed, people have prayed and slept, and you remain in prayer as long as you are waiting for prayer.” [Narrated by Al-Bukhāri]

3/1748- Anas -raḍiyallāhu 'anhu- meriwayatkan bahwa para sahabat pernah menunggu Nabi -ṣallallāhu 'alaihi wa sallam- untuk keluar salat, ternyata beliau keluar menemui mereka menjelang tengah malam lalu beliau mengerjakan salat bersama mereka, yaitu salat Isya. Beliau kemudian berpidato kepada kami, beliau bersabda, "Ketahuilah, sesungguhnya orang-orang sudah selesai melaksanakan salat lalu mereka tidur. Sedangkan kalian tetap tercatat dalam salat selama kalian menunggu (pelaksanaan) salat." (HR. Bukhari)

1) It is recommended to delay the ‘Ishā’ prayer sometimes, unless it is difficult for people praying in congregation in the mosque.

1) Anjuran sesekali mengakhirkan salat Isya selama tidak memberatkan jemaah masjid.

2) It shows the bounty of Allah Almighty towards His servants, as He gives them reward as long as they are waiting for performing an act of worship.
